Ballasts

HID and LED modules are housing-specific. A ballast from a similar lamp may physically bolt on and still not fire the bulb or talk to the CAN bus. We confirm the lighting package so the ballast you get actually lights the lamp. Tell us the VIN, left or right if they differ, and whether the lamp flickers, goes out after a minute, or never strikes. We quote the ballast or LED driver, note the connector, and ask if the bulb or the igniter should be replaced at the same time — a weak capsule will kill a new ballast. Moisture in the housing is a common cause; we mention it so you are not cycling modules. The unit you receive is the one for that headlamp family, not a universal HID kit that leaves a check-lamp light and a beam that never aims. Install notes cover dielectric grease and keeping the module dry.
